Explore a Gold Mine in Hoddles Creek, flooded Adit

An old Gold mine tunnel in the Hoddles Creek Goldfields near Melbourne. A fair bit of water in this adit, wet and muddy. It was a long walk back to the car with soaking wet boots! To clarify, I knew someone had been in there with a kid as I could see their footprints in the mud, please don't bring kids into dangerous mines! This one is safe enough to explore briefly IF you know what you are doing and how to spot and avoid underground dangers but it's best and safest to keep out. There is a lot of water coming though this mine and the reason I think it's so high at the start is the backs (roof) go in level but the floor slopes up the whole way to drain it. It was amazing clear spring water in there but very muddy underneath, I'd say it always has water in it.
