We are proud of our city of Muskegon, Michigan and we want to share it with you! Muskegon is located near the shore of Lake Michigan on the west side of the state. While not a big city like Grand Rapids or Detroit, Muskegon has plenty to offer citizens and visitors In this vlog we show you some of the history that can be found at Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake. The latter being the largest in land lake in Muskegon County. Come along with us as we show you the USS Silversides a submarine that was one of the most successful subs in WW2 The Silversides is now a museum located on the channel going from Muskegon Lake into Lake Michigan . We also take you to the city's LST which landed on the Beaches of Normandy on June 6,1944 It is one of 2 remaining LSTs in it's original configuration , Muskegon Lake has sailing and boating and plenty of fishing too!
