BUT, they often require special "CL" dimmer switches to work appropriately. This short video from The Honest Carpenter and CCS Triangle Electric will show you how to install a CL dimmer for you LED light fixture. (Note: If the wrong type of dimmer switch is installed on an LED light fixture, it will often cause the LED light to blink, or simply malfunction. Be sure to check what type/brand of CL dimmer switch matches your LED unit.) HOW TO INSTALL LED LIGHT DIMMER SWITCH: 1) Turn off power to the applicable circuit at the box. 2) Remove face cover on light switch. 3) Check for grounds in the box (units fifteen years old or older may have more complex wiring requirements.) 4) Unpackage CL Dimmer switch. 5) Remove old switch. 6) Install New CL Dimmer switch for your LED light fixture--be sure to follow closely with video, take note of dark/light screws on unit. 7) If installing adjacent LED dimmer switches, detach or remove metallic tabs on sides of CL Dimmer. 8) Reattach face plate for LED "CL" dimmer switch.
