This mount is a little bit different given the skeletal lightweight nature of mountain bike helmets. We decided to make a very lightweight mount that fits between the air vents on the front of the chin bar. The mount still utilizes the double-sided mounting tape that is standard with our chin mounts but we reinforced it with three zip ties that wrap through the air vents making sure you never lose the mount or your GoPro. The mount features the same benefits as the rest of our lineup such as tip back angle and a rubberized material that makes our mounts virtually indestructible. Since mountain bike helmets are so light we wanted to make sure that the weight of the mount is unnoticeable and doesn't cause the helmet to tip forward while you are wearing it. As an added benefit this mount could also be used to mount a light if you are doing any night cycling. What is interesting about his helmet is that Bell includes a cheap GoPro mouth that straps to the top of the helmet. I found this interesting since a lot of helmet manufacturers have stayed away from mounting solutions with the thinking that it may cause liability issues.
