Kevin Brady is 62 years old but looks and feels 20+ years younger. He survived a near death experience and took his health into his own hands. His book and philosophy is centred around 'It's never too late to be healthy.' which is the name of his book. His advice and approach is extremely practical and he doesn't feel like he has aged in the last 10 years. After running a marathon, Kevin felt extremely sick. He insisted on getting an ambulance and eventually was in a coma. His chances of survival were 10% but he survived. He exercised well and believed this was enough. A few years later his doctor prescribed medication and he decided that he wanted to find a natural solution. His story is inspiring and his advice is practical. He believes in the four wheels of health. His philosophy is that it is about the four wheels being in balance: 1) Nutrition - Kevin shares his 'Wilson Shake' recipe as well as his advice with regards to how we nourish our bodies. The name is a tribute to their family dog Wilson who would 'lap' up the shake. 2) Exercies - movement is medicine. Kevin competes in international competitions but talks about simple daily exercises and how powerful they are. 3) Sleep including our pre-sleep routines. Kevin puts his phone away and has several other ways to get a phenomenal nights sleep. 4) Mindfulness - simple micro exercises like box breathing or 4 (inhale) / 7 (hold) / 8 (exhale) breathing can quickly calm the body. I also love that Kevin uses an 80% philosophy. If we are doing daily activities that support the 4 wheels 80% of the time, we will be in great shape.
