A two-time GovState graduate, earning her Bachelor of Arts in 1998 and Master of Arts in 2000, Dr. Winfree reflects on how her experience at Governors State University helped shape her path in higher education and community leadership. Dr. Winfree most recently served as President of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce and previously led Prairie State College as President for seven years. Over her 25-year tenure at Prairie State College, she held multiple leadership roles, contributing to institutional growth, student success, and meaningful community partnerships. Throughout her career, she has also served on numerous boards and committees across the Chicago Southland, further demonstrating her commitment to service and regional impact.
