They emerged in the late-1960s, at the time when Italy’s famed Cinecittà Studio was churning out “genre” films, movies made to cash in on and mimic the success of Hollywood blockbusters, in this case, THE DIRTY DOZEN (1967,) KELLY’S HEROES(1970,) and Enzo G. Castellari’s THE INGLORIOUS BASTARDS (1978,) which would later inspire Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009). Stars: Guy Madison, Venantino Venantini, Anthony Steel Director: Bitto Albertini A German Captain and American Captain help each other survive the North African desert during WWII. They meet again a year later during combat operations in France.
