Keeping to the right is good is you want to straight up melee him, but parrying will not be as easy as the right side. At about 50% health his attacks became very infrequent, and cover a lot of ground. Keep locking on to him as his sporadic movements make it hard to stay on him. 40% he starts to emit poison. This is defiantly the most dangerous part of the fight. The poison can kill you quickly right under your nose, so keep an eye on your meter, and consume your antidote immortally. Gacoigne Set can greatly reduce the poison build up, so wear that if it's getting too much. Weapon - I used the Saw Cleaver at +3. You don't really need to use a weapon for this fight, since parrying is very reliable here. A faster weapon such as the Threaded Cane, and Saw Cleaver will make this fight easier for straight up melee since he can dodge slower weapon's such as the Hunters Axe easier.
