Method: This non-randomized, retrospective study describes the clinical outcome of procedure performed in 880 patients (male aged 24-50) over a period of 2 years. A Safute BEIM device was used for the treatment of hemorrhoids. Result: The operative time ranged between 7-10 minutes. Mean hospital stay was 9 hours. No postoperative complications observed. The mean period of incapacity for work was 7 days. Late complications included development of small anal tags, residual bleeding in 2% patients. There was no incidence of anal stricture or continence. Conclusion: New BEIM procedure can be opted as an alternative to conventional surgical procedures. This is a day care procedure, simple to perform. Patients can return to normal work in a short span of life with less pain. No post-operative dressing and no complications.
