// BACHATHON FOR UKRAINE On Saturday, June 4th 2022 at 8:00 P.M. until Sunday morning, June 5th at 8:00 A.M., a 12-hour Bach marathon concert, a 'BACHATHON FOR UKRAINE', took place in the Golden Hall of the Szczecin Philharmonic. This event was free and open to the public. It was also livestreamed on YouTube and promoted by international partners in Europe, the United States and Australia. The focal point of this event was on an exceptional endurance requiring performance of Books 1 & 2 of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, played in succession, taking over 4 hours and 30 minutes, performed by one artist, the acclaimed Austrian pianist Aaron Pilsan. In addition to this artist, the event was proud to include the most well-known Ukrainian pianist before the public today, Alexei Grynyuk, who was opening the event playing two works by Bach. This event included several musical surprises, videos and interviews with the artists and others. During the entire marathon concert, the building of the Szczecin Philharmonic was illuminated in the colours of the Ukraine. The event was initiated and moderated by Kevin Kleinmann. The director of the Szczecin Philharmonic, Dorota Serwa, said: “This type of event is fitting for the times that we are living in, when music and our great concert hall can be used not only for entertainment, but also for influencing our world and helping others in need. I hope our community will rise to the occasion and will join us in solidarity through music.” This event had partners in many different countries, who were promoting the live streaming of the concert, but also joining forces with local charities in their countries to aid the people affected by the war in the Ukraine. All partners were announced during the concert on June 4th and 5th. // Click here to apply for your free first piano lesson now: https://www.aaronpilsan.com/academy "Moonlight Sonata" - video course: https://www.aaronpilsan.com/moonlight...
