Disclaimer: I suffered a major stroke in 2021. Doctors told me I would likely never speak again, I would be in a wheelchair for life, never drive etc. etc. I proved them all wrong but as you'll see I sometimes have trouble retrieving the word I want and can get mumbly.. As you will learn in the video, I stopped counting cycles at 2250. I estimate the pack now has approx 2500 cycles. I don't think folks realize how long it takes to complete this many cycles. It took me 15 years! For more detailed info: https://marinehowto.com/happy-15th-bi... Because this bank was an experimental pack, I purposely did not recharge until at least 80% DoD was achieved. On top of thatI did well over 100 capacity testing cycles to 0%. Today, even at 15 years old these cells can still deliver 413.4Ah! This pack was never charged beyond 13.8V at .4C. Charging was done by alternator/external regulator at .4C or approx 160A. I never had balance issues and never had capacity issues . These cells have outlasted six BMS's: A Genasun, Clean Power Auto (now Lithionics), Orion, REC and now JK. Today, I use a 200A JK with 2A active balancing as I am no longer doing engine starting so the JK is sufficient.
