We are constantly bombarded with alarming news about climate change. It’s often hard to stay calm and composed amidst it all. The issues are complex, involving intricate processes, and it can feel like we have no influence over them. When such thoughts overwhelm you, there’s one thing I can say for sure: you are not alone. You are not alone in your feelings, your fears, or your questions. And once you realize you’re not alone and find a community that shares your concerns, your opportunities for action multiply significantly. For over a decade, Reka has been a passionate voice for sustainability, publishing regularly in both online and print media. She took her mission on the road, delivering engaging environmental awareness talks that have reached audiences across the country. She launched a column, Ökoanyu (EcoMom), in Nők Lapja to inspire readers to embrace sustainable living and rethink their relationship with the environment. As the author of five books on sustainability, her work has empowered countless individuals to make meaningful changes. Recognized for her impact, she was honored with the Telekom Sustainability Journalism Award in both 2018 and 2019. She launched the podcast Komposzt (Compost) on WMN magazine's platform, continuing her mission to spark dialogue and action for a greener future.
