Phosphoryl chloride is an exceptionally useful chemical, and one that doesn't have enough representation or accessible synthesis pathways here on YouTube. So you can imagine my dismay when YouTube decided to demonetize my first attempt to show an easy route to make it! It was demonetized and age-restricted because I dared to show the negative consequences of accidentally misusing this chemical (not even because of the chemical itself). I won't say WHAT the consequences were, since they seem to trigger the poor souls (or bots...?) at YouTube, but if you want to see the original video, here it is: • Turning Salt Into Phosphoryl Chloride... I still want all of you to know about this pretty cool pathway though, so this is that video edited to suit YouTube's fancy! Want to support LabCoatz since YouTube is making excuses not to?
