I wrote the code on an Arduino Mega 2560. I chose this one because it had sufficient PWM outputs. I’m using the PWM outputs on the Arduino to switch 2N7000 mosfets which are connected to the LED strips. For maximum brightness calculation I used a simple LDR (photoresistor) to measure lux levels. For dimming during ‘always ON’ mode I use a 5K potentiometer (variable resistor). Switching modes is done using a multi-position knob switch.
