Disembodied on February 21st, 1997 at The Whole in Minneapolis, MN. Line-up: Disembodied Harvest Silent Fall Kill Sadie By 1997, Disembodied were the heaviest band around. Metal gods. Few people slay the drums like my best friend, Justin. This show was a benefit for the Student Organization of Animal Rights (S.O.A.R. at the University of Minnesota). Shows at The Whole were always great because you would often have unsuspecting college kids being introduced to the punk scene (and yummy vegan pizza afterwards for the volunteers). Mario Dias de Leon played guitar in Disembodied from spring of 1996 into 1997 (replacing Mark Wilcox). This show is a perfect snapshot in time capturing so much of what music was for me in 1997, a room full of friends screaming together and lifting each other up.
