Welcome to my channel! In this Cricut Design Space Beginner Tutorial video, I am going to show you how to turn a single layer SVG file into a multi-layered SVG file. So why would you want to do this? A single layer SVG file means that the whole design will be only one color. So if you wanted to use more than one color in your decal, then you will need to create more layers so that you have a different layer for each color. You will need to use the Contour function in Cricut Design Space to erase or select cut lines for each layer. It is the easiest way to turn a single color SVG into a multi-color SVG file.
