As the new King's Equerry has Officially started work this week, and Jonny has moved to his new role managing Their Majesties Private Affairs behind the scenes, so we shall sadly no longer see him in a public role by the King's side on engagements and on overseas tours, which were such a highlight, I was feeling incredibly sad, even though this announcement was made last October, and his final duty as Equerry was on Christmas morning accompanying the Royals to Church at Sandringham, we knew this change was coming, but I miss Jonny. So here's Part 1 of my Farewell Tribute to the King of Equerries Lt.Col Jonathan Thompson and the unique Royal Regiment of Scotland Ceremonial Uniform that has brightened our lives. #KiltsAtTheKeysites indeed!
