🏔️ Into the Heart of the Himalayas 🏔️ The Three Passes Trek is one of the most demanding and rewarding long-distance treks in the world — and this is Part 1 of our journey through the high Himalayas of Nepal. Over 21 days, we walked 290 kilometers with heavy backpacks, climbing a total of 18,000 meters of elevation gain, crossing some of the wildest and most remote terrain in the Everest region. This extended version of the trek started in Phaplu (Salleri) and returned back the same way, far from the classic Lukla route. Along the way, we were rewarded with breathtaking views of four 8000-meter giants: 🏔️ Mount Everest 🏔️ Lhotse 🏔️ Makalu 🏔️ Cho Oyu This trek pushed us physically and mentally — long days, high passes, thin air, and endless climbs — but the solitude, scale, and raw beauty of the Himalayas made every step worth it. 🥾 Three Passes Trek – One of the toughest treks in Nepal, crossing Kongma La (5535 m), Cho La (5420 m), and Renjo La (5360 m) with nonstop alpine scenery. 🏕️ Phaplu (Salleri) Route – A longer, quieter approach that adds distance, elevation, and authenticity to the journey. ⛰️ Everest Region – Massive glaciers, high passes, turquoise lakes, and some of the highest mountains on Earth. 🎒 Heavy Backpack Trekking – Fully self-supported days that tested endurance and determination. 🌏 Nepal Himalayas – A place where nature dominates, time slows down, and the mountains set the rules.
