Once again I am sharing a traditional Pathare Prabhu dish with you. It is Kosa Curry. Kosa means Prawn's head. This Kosa prawn is a little different from our regular prawns. It's head (Kosa) is bigger than the body. It has pincers or claws on two pairs of their legs. The meat is also very tender and is melt in the mouth type. These prawns are found during rainy season and hence very expensive. Ingredients : 4 to 5 nos. Kosa (prawns) 1 tbsp. Garlic & Ginger paste 1 no. Onion Small ball Tamarind 1 cup Grated fresh coconut 12 nos. Almonds 1 tbsp Poppy seeds 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp Methi Seeds 10 nos. Black Pepper 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 2 tsp Chilli powder 1 tsp PP Sambhar Masala or Curry Masala 1 tbsp Ghee 2 cups Water 1 tsp Salt You can replace the Kosa with Lobsters!
