Re: Zero and the Re: Zero If stories were written by Tappei Nagatsuki The melodies and leitmotifs of other songs used in this song are: Paradisus-Paradoxum by Myth and Roid Styx Helix by Myth and Roid Tragedy:Eternity Myth and Roid (honestly I love the music that Myth and Roid make if you couldn't tell from that) Also big thanks to kiyoe_sans. Their fan made opening for the Wrath If inspired me to make this song and this video. The link to their video is: • Re:Zero If Oboreru Also, no midis or FLPs were used to make this song. I mostly just remade the songs from memory and/or listened to them and remade them. They aren't exact copies of the songs either because I tried to make the ones during the guitar part more menacing and dark while the ones at the start and end are a bit sadder because of their meaning in the song. Yeah so I made this because a few days ago I read the "Wrath If" also known as the Oboreru If and I decided to make a theme for the Subaru of that universe. I thought that Purge King Subaru was a cool character even though some of the things that he did were driven by his feelings and didn't really end up being the best for him. Also I have to type the title here so that the youtube algorithm gives me a chance. The Purge King - Re: Zero Oboreru Subaru Theme (Fan-made). Here's some stuff about the song. SPOILER WARNING!!! The song starts with a piano version of the season one ending. I chose to put this at the beginning because the place where the story deviates is the end of episode 7. After that there's a bunch of guitar parts which show Subaru's cruel nature caused by the deviation from the main timeline. Then there is a guitar version of the season two opening (one of my favorite ops). I chose to put this in there because the start shows Subaru underwater and the main message of the Wrath If is about drowning and the story is literally also called "Re: Drowning Life in Another World From Zero." I also chose to put that op in the song because it is the song for the part where Rem has the most screen time and character development in Re: Zero and what I felt to be the most like her actual theme song, while in Oboreru, Rem's death was the main reason why everything changed. I was thinking of putting either "Wishing" or "Elegy for Rem" aka "Requiem of Silence" in but I forgot how both of those songs went and I felt like "Paradisus Paradoxum" sounded better. Both of the songs I just listed are slow and I already had a slow song at the end (I'll talk about that in a bit). After that there are more guitar things and a piano thing created by me (doesn't relate to the anime with leitmotifs or anything) and then the song pauses. After this, a guitar, music box, and piano cover of "Tragedy:Eternity" plays. I chose to do this because that song seems to be used the most in Wrath If videos I've seen on youtube. Also the ending part is supposed to represent the part where Subaru finally allows Ram to kill him at the end of Oboreru. I was originally just planning to do a music box rendition of "Tragedy:Eternity" but I feel like that wouldn't do justice to the Purge King.
