It is carved from a stunning block of Italian Calacatta marble, paired with over 6 gallons of crystal-clear epoxy resin. The marble itself is incredible, featuring beautiful grey, brown, and gold streaking veins running naturally throughout the stone. This piece is a major milestone for me, as it was my very first time carving stone. The physical challenge of learning to shape the marble made the process incredibly rewarding. The contrast between the classic stone and the modern clear epoxy makes this piece truly one of a kind, and it has quickly become one of my favorite sculptures to date. It is safe to say I will be carving a lot more marble in the future. 00:00 Intro 00:53 First Time 02:07 Gameplan 03:07 Cleaning top 04:33 Epoxy Pour 05:25 Time to Experiment 07:10 Oops 08:09 Epoxy Pours 09:10 First Carve 13:29 Marble thoughts 15:25 What is this!? 17:40 Marble Stones 19:07 Refining 20:50 BIG MARBLE GUY 21:42 Ad 22:16 Shaping 22:52 HUGE MISTAKE 25:16 Sanding 26:30 Final Refining 28:40 Bath time 29:40 Polishing 30:58 We have a Problem 31:57 Reveal
