This video documents a nursery web spider (Family Pisauridae) belonging to the genus Pisaurina, recorded from Pakistan (Islamabad and Haripur). Based on external morphology, dorsal patterning, and leg proportions, the specimens closely resemble Pisaurina cf. brevipes, a species previously considered restricted to North America. Three independent observations are presented: • One female from Haripur (July 2025) • Two males from Islamabad (August 2024) Clear sexual dimorphism is evident, with males showing extremely elongated legs and slender bodies, and the female exhibiting a broader abdomen. Apparent colour variation (golden vs pale) is shown to be light-dependent, not taxonomic. As no confirmed records of the genus Pisaurina exist from Pakistan or Asia, this documentation represents a potential first Asian record, pending genitalic or molecular confirmation. 📍 Locations: Islamabad Capital Territory & Haripur, Pakistan 📷 Method: Field photography & videography 🧪 Status: Pisaurina cf. brevipes (tentative) A detailed scientific account with figures, references, and discussion is being prepared for publication and will be available on www.biodiversigrapher.com. 🎶 Music: YouTube Audio Library If you enjoy evidence-based wildlife documentation, subscribe to BiodiversiGrapher® for verified wildlife records from Pakistan 👍 Like, Share & Comment to support evidence-based biodiversity research
