Listening Laboraties explores how knowledge about food safety is produced within emerging biotechnological and agricultural systems. Field recordings from laboratories, bioplastic facilities, and seaweed farms form the acoustic landscape of the performance, interwoven with live cello and sounds of materials. The performance unfolds as a multisensory immersive experience, part concert and part taste laboratory. Through sound, taste, and poetic narratives, Listening Laboraties reflects on what it means for food to be considered "safe" in a world of ecological change.
