We cycled the classic Turku Archipelago Trail in Finland during 19.-23.7.2023 with my dear friend Jaakko. In July the Archipelago Trail has plenty of cyclists, cars and motorbikes, but mostly cycling is still relaxing and you don't have to cycle in queues. Join us on this scenic route and dive into the archipelago way of life! The total distance we covered was circa 250 km. Camping in the archipelagos is a bit challenging because of fresh water sources. That's why there are limited places for camping in tents. We ended up staying at Solliden Camping, Naawa Nature Camp, Björklund Båtslip and Naantali Camping. In Naantali we stayed in a small cabin. There are a total of 9 ferries and cable ferries on the route. You should definitely check the timetables before hand as some are a bit trickier, but none problematic. Ferries on the route when cycled clockwise (*route name in timetables) Lillmälö-Prostvik (*Parainen-Nauvo) Pärnäs-Retais (*Nauvo-Korppoo) Galtby-Kittuis (*Korppoo-Houtskari) Roslax-Kivimo (*Houtskari reitti) Björkö-Mossala (*Mossala) Mossala-Dalen (*Houtskari-Iniö) Skagen-Jumo (*Skagen) Kannvik-Heponiemi (*Iniö-Kustavi) Hakkenpää-Teersalo (*Velkuan reitti) You can find the timetables at finferries.fi/en/ferry-traffic or check out the Finferries app. The route is open for traffic during 10.5.-8.9.
