After a rough second half against Stonehill in the game prior, DePaul took a 66-53 home loss to the Buffalo Bulls on Tuesday, down by as many as 21 points before halftime. The Blue Demons were 6-26 from the floor in the opening 20 minutes leading into a second half that saw the deficit cut to as few as two points, before the Bulls ultimately pulled away down the stretch in large part due to late-game opportunities from the charity stripe (and Layden Blocker fouling out). Before pivoting to a crucial home matchup against the Northwestern Wildcats, Nick Palazzolo and Andy Thompson talk it all out in a therapeutic opening segment. From ongoing rebounding struggles and free throw woes to the increasing importance of freshman guard Kruz McClure, no Buffalo stone is left unturned. And as for the Wildcats, DePaul will have a formidable pair of matchups in senior forward Nick Martinelli and junior center Arrinten Page at the top of their respective scouting report. How will DePaul rebound (both literally and metaphorically) after the Buffalo loss? We do our best to answer that question and more on today's episode!
