12 year old Stacey shares what living your dream means, from the lens of a young multi award winning author. She talks about how social scripts given out by parents and society have brainwashed children and restricted them from exploring different creative fields. Stacey talks about her journey in living her dream. The challenges she, her parents and siblings faced, as well as their gift of control and self-worth. She speaks about how she dealt with rejection and how she was able to stand up and move from that point on. Stacey concludes her talk, on goals and goal-setting in life as well as defining the meaning of dreaming and Living Your Dream. She is an Philanthropist, Child Activist, Inspirational Speaker and 12-year-old International Multiple Award-Winning Bestselling Author of Chapter Books. I wrote my 1st book, ‘Smelly Cats’ without my parents’ knowledge at the age of 7. This book was approved by the SA Department of Basic Education as suitable for young learners from Early Childhood through to Primary Schools. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
