2024 Summer of Sony - TC-K75 Power Supply Diagnosis and Fix

Oh, we've got us a FIGHTER, here. This TC-K75 (aka TC-K81) comes to us directly from the Yahoo Japan auctions, where it was purchased for dirt cheap because nobody else wanted to touch it. The tape door doesn't stay closed, the capstan motor isn't running at the right speed, and heaven only knows if it actually does anything at all. This bad boy has too much going on for just one video, so we'll start with the capstan motor issue, which is really a power supply issue. Once we get the power supply working we can worry about what ELSE might be wrong with this thing. This is the cheapest three head deck in my collection for a good reason. What was I thinking? Oh, right... I wasn't.
