FOR MATERIALS USED: For the signatures/pages: Regular copier paper Thread: Waxed linen thread (you can buy unwaxed & use a candle or bees wax to wax your own) Needle: You can buy Bookbinding needles but I also use a large embroidery or darning needle & remove the pointy tip Book Covers: For this particular book I used 2mm Mount Board. It is predominantly used by photographers on the back of photos & frames therefore it is a bit more expensive than just plain chipboard. Mount Board is basically just chipboard with white coated paper on both sides. As its more expensive, I tend to now buy regular 2mm chipboard. You can use cereal boxes or any packaging you want. Glue a few pieces together to make it thicker & they work perfectly fine for book covers. Glue: PVA white Glue Bone Folder: Essential tool in my opinion but if you don't have one, use the end of a ruler or scissors. But a bone folder is a wonderful tool for bookbinding Clamps: You can use any clamps, bulldog clips etc. Also a book press is even better, but these clamps are the cheaper alternative . Have fun & as always if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Lee x
