Welcome to Episode 60 of Rover! Today I am at Newport on the South Wales Main Line and start of the Welsh Marches Line where services are seen by Arriva Trains Wales, Great Western Railway and CrossCountry. Newport has changed a lot since my last visit, the station still retains its building work on the platforms and it has thoroughly increased towards the London end of the islands. The station also now has pylons up ready for electrification. I personally saw a great deal of variety and essentially every bit of Arriva Trains Wales' rolling stock barring the 67 and DVT. A fantastic station that does lack in decent vantages on certain parts of the platforms but is generally a good station with good views.
