The Class 67 operated by English Welsh & Scottish Railway (EWS) freight operator, since renamed DB Schenker and then DB Cargo UK. This compilation video looks back at the early history of the class 67 locomotives and looks at some of their operations on the mainline between 2010 and 2016. The Class 67 is a Bo-Bo diesel-electric locomotive that was built for the English Welsh & Scottish Railway (EWS) rail freight company between 1999 and 2000. A total of thirty locomotives were ordered via leasing company Angel Trains and were intended as replacements for the companies Class 47s for working Royal Mail and passenger trains. In June 2003 EWS lost the Royal Mail mail train contract, with services diminishing to complete cessation in March 2004. The locomotives were obtained on a 15-year lease from Angel Trains and when this expired the ownership of the locomotives was transferred to DB Cargo UK (formerly EWS). The locomotives have since been used by a variety of Train Operating Companies on timetabled passenger workings. In 2003 two of the class were assigned to work the Royal Train and were painted in livery to match that of the the stock. They are also the regular motive power for the Venice-Simplon Orient Express British Pullman luxury train. In addition the class can often be found working charters, rail tours and a variety of stock moves and other one off workings. 67017+67022 1Z51 Windsor & Eton Riverside - Hooton at Ledburn Junction 24/4/2010 67005 1Z84 Preston - Wembley “footex” at Headstone Lane 3/4/2011 67003+67030 1Y46 London Victoria - Folkestone West VSOE at Paddock Wood 16/10/2011 67020+465035 6X45 Slade Green - Wolverton at Old Linslade 7/11/2011 67002+67028 3J34 Peterborough - Harringay RHTT at Langford 27/11/2011 67005+67019 1Z63 London Victoria - London Victoria VSOE at Dover 10/12/2011 67029 6Z26 Dollands Moor - Toton at East Hyde 7/2/2012 67013 1L28 Birmingham Moor Street - Wembley Stadium at Headstone Lane 26/2/2012 67029+67005 5Z22 Deal - Folkestone East VSOE at Folkestone Warren 19/5/2012 67005+67029 1Y44 Ashford International - London Victoria at Hollingbourne 20/5/2012 67025+67020 1Y44 Folkestone West - London Victoria at Sevington 27/9/2012 67005 6O67 Daventry - Dollands Moor at Cromwell Road/Earles Court 17/11/2012 67010 1G49 London Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street at Gerrards Cross 6/4/2013 67020+67028 6B23 Wembley - Dollands Moor at Otford Junction 24/6/2013 67013 1K50 London Marylebone - Kidderminster at Kings Sutton 8/7/2013 67017 1H50 Birmingham Moor Street - London Marylebone at West Wycombe 25/8/2013 67021+67005 1Z40 London Victoria - Whitstable VSOE at Birchington 16/11/2013 67015+67020 1Q18 Derby - Derby (via Didcot) at Kings Sutton 4/3/2014 67023 1U61 London Marylebone - Banbury at Kingsey 29/4/2014 67003+66186 3J93 West Hampstead - Toton RHTT at East Hyde 27/10/2014 67008 1G35 London Marylebone - Birmingham Snow Hill at Souldern Viaduct/Aynho 6/4/2015 67008 1K57 London Marylebone - Kidderminster at West Wycombe 7/4/2015 67026+67005 1O07 Chesterfield - London Victoria VSOE at East Hyde 29/4/2015 67015 1Z34 Carnforth - London Euston at Cheddington 6/5/2015 67008 1Z72 London Victoria - York at Langford 3/6/2015 67029+67028 1Z41 Liverpool - Wembley “footex” at South Kenton 23/4/2016 67016 5E02 Morepeth - Bounds Green at Woodwalton 8/7/2016 67013+345002 5X12 Old Dalby - Ilford EMUD at Channelsea Junction/Stratford 9/12/2016 67030 1Z43 London Kings Cross - Sunderland “footex” at Brookmans Park 14/12/2016
