We are also commanded in 1 Timothy 2:1 to 2 to pray for those in authority so we may live in peace. Even when tragedy strikes, we are not allowed to become hateful. Christ calls us to walk in truth and love at the same time. [VERSE 3] God’s law stands above man’s law as declared in Acts 5:29 “We ought to obey God rather than men.” 📖 Yet God’s highest command toward others is love. Romans 13:8 tells us to owe no man anything but love. We may disagree about borders, budgets, and leadership, but Mark 12:31 still commands us to love our neighbor.
