Every year in February, for the past 4 years, I run a 7-day Gurdjieff Movements workshop at Toplocentrala - a Theatre/Arts Center in the middle of Sofia; and at the end of the workshop, we give a public presentation, and I am amazed each year at what we achieve in just 7 days. This year, we had a group of 20 people, all but four of whom had had some experience with Movements before - some only in the last one or two workshops, and a few who have been involved with Movements for several years. We also had a wide age range, from early 20s to late 70s, and the students were from 6 different countries. Something which I always say in my workshops is "This is not a Dance Workshop, and I am not a Dance Teacher"; rather, this work is about Awareness and Presence, or as Gurdjieff himself put it, this work is to build Presence of Being; and I think this can really be seen in the dancers in the video. The video is not actually from the presentation, but rather from our last few practices, while we were also setting the lighting.
