J&K News: Two Lashkar Terrorists Killed In Poonch, Pakistan Infiltration Bid Foiled | India Today

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have been killed in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir as security forces thwarted an infiltration bid from Pakistan. The operation, which is still ongoing, took place on the Line of Control, 4 km from Poonch town. This comes amid a high alert for the Amarnath Yatra and the Parliament session, and just two days after Operation Mahadev which neutralized the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack. The incident occurs as reports suggest a shift in terror tactics. According to the Union Home Minister, "there are no local terrorists now supporting. So there is no locals really picking up weapons. That is why Pakistan has been forced to actually push in as many terrorists as possible."
