Mild Exposure Description: Concrete protected from weather and aggressive conditions. Not located in coastal areas. Examples: Indoor slabs, beams inside buildings. ✔ PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) Minimum cement: 220 kg/m³ Max W/C ratio: 0.60 Minimum grade: Not specified ✔ RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) Minimum cement: 300 kg/m³ Max W/C ratio: 0.55 Minimum grade: M20 👉 Typical nominal cover (general guidance): about 20–25 mm depending on bar size and grade. ✅ 2. Moderate Exposure Description: Concrete exposed to rain or condensation. Buried in non-aggressive soil or continuously under water. Examples: Foundations, water tanks, external members. ✔ PCC Minimum cement: 240 kg/m³ Max W/C ratio: 0.60 Minimum grade: M15 ✔ RCC Minimum cement: 300 kg/m³ Max W/C ratio: 0.50 Minimum grade: M25 👉 Typical nominal cover: around 30–35 mm. ✅ 3.
