Detailed written article: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/37011... Latest prices and configurations on Amazon: US: https://amzn.to/350R3O7 UK: https://amzn.to/2Svfr5q CA: https://amzn.to/3fcH8tr DE: https://amzn.to/2VZ8s6S This is our detailed review of the ROG Zephyrus G15 from Asus, in the G15 GA502IU configuration with a Ryzen 7 4800HS processor, Nvidia GTX 1660Ti 60W Max-Q GPU and the 240 Hz screen. A G15 GU502IV model is also available, similar to this one, but with RTX 2060 65W graphics. The 240Hz IPS screen is the best currently available on any AMD Ryzen laptop, but this G15 is otherwise flawed by compromises, as a potential jack of all trades and master of none. It only gets Max-Q graphics, with either a GTX 1660Ti 60W or an RTX 2060 65W, and that's due to its limited thermal design that cannot cool a beefier GPU inside this chassis. Despite that, the components and outer case run hot with games, and for some reason Asus also covered the fans intakes on the bottom, which further raises the CPU/GPU temperatures and limits the performance. On top of that, potential users have to make do with the shallow keyboard, clunky clickpad and the smudgy plastic build. 00:00 - Intro and Screen options 00:50 - Specs and Performance Benchmarks 02:49 - Gaming Performance, Thermals and Noise 05:15 - Design and Build 06:50 - Inputs and audio 07:54 - Pricing and Conclusion Sure, the Zephyrus G15 tries to make up for its quirks with its pricing, but even so I feel it needs to drop at around $1100-$1200 to be competitive, and it would still remain my third choice for an AMD laptop after the great-value TUF Gaming A15 and the compact Zephyrus G14. Detailed review and comparison of the 17-inch Asus TUF Gaming A17 FA706 and 15-inch A15 FA506. All our findings are based on our own reviews: Asus TUF A17 FA706II: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/36114... Asus TUF A15 FA506IU: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/36432... Asus TUF A15 FA506IV: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/36108... The two versions share most traits, including the design and built particularities, connectivity, keyboards, and internal and thermal designs. The A17 is of course slightly larger and heavier, and gets a 17-inch 120 Hz display, while the A15 is more compact and gets a slightly nicer 144 Hz screen and a higher-tier configuration, with up to an RTX 2060 90W GPU. The A17 only tops up at a GTX 1660Ti, both with up to Ryzen 7 4800H processors. Both size variants are available in multiple configurations, starting from AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processors and GTX 1650 and 1650TI GPUs in the most affordable models. 00:00 - Introduction, Design and Ergonomics 03:34 - Screens 04:35 - Specs and Performance Benchmarks 06:35 - Gaming Performance 07:14 - Thermals and Noise 07:14 - Battery life 08:54 - Pricing and Conclusion -------------- FOLLOW ME ---------------- On the site: https://www.ultrabookreview.com On Twitter : / andreigirbea On Instagram: / andreigirbea Music by https://www.bensound.com While some of our review units are provided by manufacturers, our videos are 100% our opinions.
