Intellectual Work Methods in Technical Programs: Tools and Best Practices

Being a student involves many challenges, including mastering intellectual work methods (IWM), such as time management, note-taking, studying for and taking exams, active reading of complex texts, teamwork, oral communication, documentary research, appropriate use of ICT and writing various types of texts, while respecting intellectual integrity and presentation standards used in higher education. Most technical programs mobilize these skills, either explicitly or implicitly. Students graduating from high school worry, to varying degrees, about the complexity of mastering these methods in the college education that awaits them. This webinar aims to share tools and best practices to support students' development of work methods in order to optimize their success in technical programs.
