Boating Season Begins! Prepping the Montauk + Beautiful Trip to Langley, Washington

After a long, dark Pacific Northwest winter, it finally warmed up enough to pull my Boston Whaler 150 Montauk out of the barn and take our first boating trip of the year. In today’s video, we head across Possession Sound from Everett, Washington to charming Langley, WA for lunch at the Saltwater Fish House, one of our favorite early-season destinations. Before hitting the water, I walk through everything I’ve done to get the boat ready for spring. Even with all that prep, the first outing of the season always brings surprises: sticky trailer parts, stuck brakes, and even a log stuck in the propeller mid-channel! Once we make the 40-minute run to Langley’s tight little marina, we explore the town, check out the shops, and enjoy the views back toward Everett before heading home.
