Join us for the next edition of the RePo-Webinar series: "Using causal inference and a knowledge graph to inform drug repurposing", featuring Sergio E. Baranzini, a leading neuroscientist integrating computational and experimental approaches to advance precision medicine and drug discovery. 🔹 Sergio E. Baranzini is a Professor of Neurology at the University of California San Francisco. He earned his PhD in Human Molecular Genetics from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. His lab at UCSF combines computational and experimental research to explore the genetic and molecular basis of neurological diseases. Dr. Baranzini is an active member of the International Multiple Sclerosis Genetics Consortium and leads the iMSMS consortium, which investigates the role of the microbiome in susceptibility and progression of multiple sclerosis. He is also the principal investigator of the SPOKE project, an ambitious bioinformatics initiative aimed at integrating and analyzing large-scale biomedical data. In this RePo-Webinar, Dr. Baranzini will present how causal inference and knowledge graphs can be applied to identify and prioritize new therapeutic opportunities for drug repurposing. This session offers a valuable opportunity for researchers and professionals interested in causal inference, network biology, computational drug discovery, and translational medicine.
