Hi everyone Thanks for joining me today for this video. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A couple of things to note before we get started: Firstly, I suffer from an illness called M.E./CFS, and when I filmed this video I was having a good day - but you will hear me breathing heavily and catching my breath a fair amount throughout the video. This is because it takes a lot of physical effort and energy to do these videos, especially when trying to do more than one thing at the same time. Even a simple task such as sketching whilst sitting down and talking to camera can be exhausting on a good day. I'm sorry if you find this distracting/annoying, but it's just how I am, and other than not filming videos like this there's nothing I can do about it. Secondly, the wind was very strong and I was unaware how much the camera was shaking during filming even when it was on the tripod. I'll find a way to combat that next time! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this video I take a trip to Burwell Fen, part of the National Trust's Wicken Fen area in Cambridgeshire. The fens of East Anglia are my constant inspiration, and today I'm sketching on location as I gather information and reference photos to create a new painting (which you'll see in Part Two, soon!).
