The Garmin Alpha with TT15 is my go-to GPS track & train combo when I need to know exactly where a dog is and make a clean correction without breaking stride. The TT15 collar pulls satellite location (GPS + GLONASS), beams it to the Alpha handheld as fast as every 2.5 seconds, and the handheld shows you direction, distance, trail history, roads, water, and elevation on Topo 100k or BirdsEye satellite. You can run up to 20 dogs/handhelds, customize training screens, use 18 levels (continuous/momentary), plus tone & vibration, and stretch range with a long-range whip or vehicle antenna when you’re in big country. Add Rescue Mode to squeeze the last bit of battery in a find-the-dog situation, swap collar straps by color, and you’ve got a proven Alpha system that flat-out works in the field.
