Enormous vertical caves all over the world, as well as the largest and deepest vertical cave Krubera Voronya - located in the Caucasus Mountains. Krubera Cave, Voronyacha (Abh. Ӡou Ahaҧy; Georgian: კრუბერის გამოქვაბული) is a cave with a depth of 2,196 m (as of August 2012). The previous record was 2,191 m (August 26, 2007). It is located in the Arabika mountain range (Abkhazia). The entrance to the cave is located at an altitude of about 2,250 m above sea level in the Orto-Balagan tract. The karst cave is of a subvertical type, it is a series of wells connected by passages and galleries. The deepest slopes are: 115, 110, 152 m. At a depth of 200 m, the cave branches into two main branches: Nekuibyshevskaya (as of 2010, the depth was 1,697 m) and the Main Branch (depth 2,191 m). Starting from a depth of 1300 m, the main branch branches into many other branches. More than 8 siphons are known near the bottom (located at depths from 1400 to 2144 m). The cave is located in a limestone stratum, and the bottom part from a depth of 1600 m is laid in black limestone. The waters of the Krubera-Voronyach cave are fed by the shortest river in the world - Reprua. This video also shows the Mammoth Cave in the USA and other famous caves and vertical cave tunnels.
