The game includes 23 of the series' most famous heroes and villains in full 3D, spans 29 levels, and features over 60 different combo moves per character, including some of their patented attacks from the animated series. As the action unfolds, players can follow the life stories of Goku and Gohan. Acquiring new skills along the way, players then have the opportunity to buy new skills with tournament prize money or exchange them with other players. Either way, players must build them up and customise them in preparation for the all-important ultimate battle.
