Launching the Digital Telementoring Demonstration Project in Sri Lanka

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Digital Telementoring Demonstration Project in Sri Lanka, a landmark initiative to enhance surgical training and mentorship through advanced remote technologies. This project, proudly supported by Rods&Cones and co-sponsored by the Dutch Government, utilizes smart surgery glasses and our cutting-edge remote assistance platform to transform healthcare education. Hosted by The College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka, the event was graced by distinguished guests including Prof. Mohan de Silva, Prof. Tan Arulampalam, Prof. Bawantha Gamage, and Iwan Rutjens, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. A highlight of the event was a live surgery streamed by Prof. Dr. Richard van Hillegersberg from UMC Utrecht, showcasing the immense potential of our technology to overcome geographical barriers in surgical training. Our Hub-and-Spoke model aims to connect multiple hospitals across Sri Lanka, allowing surgeons from urban to remote areas to receive real-time guidance and expertise, thus improving patient care and outcomes.
