This Funjet holds the current world record for the fastest FPV plane at: 224.9 miles an hour, on a calm day. https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id... ......But today, there was a storm, so I thought it would be interesting to fly in it and see how fast we could actually get the ground-speed up to.... It was FUN!!!! 401 kmh or 249.1 mph.....1 kilometre every 9 seconds which is 111 metres per second... At 50,000-60,000rpm, the tip of the propeller is travelling at around Mach 1.2- 1.6 which is 994- 1,217mph, , or around 500 metres a second.. It is electric and at 20 volts / 300 amps, it is burning around 6,000watts...which produces a calculated 8 horsepower. The plane is a foam Multiplex Funjet ultra. The motor is a Leopard LBP3674 (V1) 36x74mm in-runner 2650kv. The battery was a Turnigy Graphene 3000mah 6 cell. The ESC was a $29 Hobbyking 200amp max! (with some modification).
