In a tragic case of alleged overspeeding in Goa’s Assagao area, a speeding Mahindra Thar rammed into a Hyundai i20, killing 65-year-old tourist Bhagat Ram Sharma who was travelling with his family. The impact left the i20 severely damaged, with the victim pronounced dead at the scene. Two other occupants sustained minor injuries and are stable, while a five-month-old infant escaped unharmed. Eyewitnesses claimed the SUV occupants attempted to switch seats after the crash, and viral videos from the spot have added to the controversy.
