Some Great Memories Of The Band Years (Part Eight)

‘THE BAND YEARS’ (From Day One): Some great old photos from the bands days in the 1960’s and 1970’s. When I was a young lad my lovely mum and dad bought me my first part drum kit in 1963 and as a school boy I worked part time on Kingston Market, and saved up my wages to complete my first full kit. I did my first drum solo in public as a school boy at the Rivermead School ‘Gang’ Show in about 1966 and it was a full house, with all the kids and their parents in attendance. I did drum solos at nearly every gig all over the UK, with every band I played with over the next ten years and I must say it was great fun doing my own thing up there on that stage for the crowds! I played with several premier bands over that time, including six great years with ‘The Impalas’. This great old batch of photos holds so many great memories! Wonderful days! (December 2022)
