Trauma Systems and Intro to MBTP-Trauma Core 2022 (Expires 10/28/2024) Target Audience: Children’s National nursing staff Objectives: Trauma Systems • Discussion of a trauma center and all the "moving parts". • Federal initiatives • State Systems Intro to MBTP • Provide introduction to MBTP • Differentiate between trauma patients requiring immediate IO versus peripheral access • Discuss the extent of peripheral IV attempts by ED before contacting the IV team • Identify patients who may not need peripheral access. Successful Completion for Nursing: 1) View the entire session 2) Find the verifying word 3) Complete the online evaluation and attestation of completion (located at the end of the session) You will be asked for the verifying word.
