Have you ever been to Fruiticana -The Best Indian grocery store in Canada? This is a daily life vlog of one of our weekend, where we went to explore Old Navy for shopping and Fruiticana for weekly grocery. The reason behind going to Old Navy was that we had their coupons that gave us 40 CAD off on 100 CAD spent. Also, Old Navy is a good place to shop for newcomers in Canada. As a student, you can find really good deals at Old Navy Canada. For example – Shirts for 20 CAD, Shorts for 24 CAD, T-Shirts for 10 CAD, Hoodies for 35 CAD, Pants for 30 CAD, etc. There is also a good clearance section in Old Navy where you can find shirts for as low as 5 CAD and Jeans for as low as 15 CAD. For girls, there are numerous options in tops, jeans, jackets, coats, bags, etc. It is one of my favorite place to buy funky year round clothing. Also, if you shop one, you get Shopping coupons that you can apply in you next shopping round that is normally a time slot in the next month cycle. Overall, Old Navy is a good brand for someone who does not want to spend a lot of cloth but also likes to wear trendy clothes that are of good quality. We also explored H&M in Canada, there were good deals on High necks and sweaters that ranged from 15 CAD to 30 CAD. There were good options in Winter Jackets that ranged from 50 CAD to 80 CAD. However, I prefer the clothes of Old Navy over H&M as they are of slightly better quality. Afterwards, we went to Fruiticana for our weekly grocery shopping. We always maintain a budget for vegetable & fruits that we buy from Indian store. We aim to buy our weekly veggie in under 50 CAD for two people. We mostly buy vegetable from Fruiticana, but we prefer to buy fruits from Costco as they are bigger sizes with better quality. In Fruiticana, we showed the apples priced at around 1 CAD per Lb (454 gm), watermelons for 5 CAD, Guava for 4 CAD each and grapes for 3 CAD per lb. There were traditional Indian snacks available at Fruiticana like Namakpare, Gol gappe, Indian Maggie, Kurkure, etc. We showed the Fresh produce section which you can buy Indian style Bhindi (Okra), Lauki (Squash), Kaddu, Ghiya, Tomatoes, Onions, etc. We purchased some Karela (Bitter ground) around 5 CAD for 1 kg and Bhindi around 8 CAD for 1 kg. We also bought Dhaniya like 2 packs for 2 CAD. In the ration section, we also buy all kinds of Indian spices at Fruiticana and they are priced fairly good. You can buy Indian spices 1 pack of 100 g for 3 CAD. There were pulses, rice, wheat flour that was priced well. We prefer to mostly buy vegetable from Fruiticana as it is priced less compared to Walmart, Costco and other stores. You can also buy Loose pulses from their store at around 2 Cad per lb. There was an information board where everyone had posted about their available rooms for rent in Canada, available basements for rent in Canada, Driving Classes in Canada, Part-time jobs in Canada, etc. You must check such information boards as they have really helpful information. We showed a lot of Indian utensils that were available at Fruiticana. WE saw Indian style Pressure cookers being priced at 120 to 130 CAD which is really expensive compared to India. Overall, it was a good experience shopping at Fruiticana and we recommend this place to all Indian looking to cheap cheap grocery in Canada. Hope you find it fun and informative.
