Wonderful to be involved in CW+ & Akademi's initiative, and invited to bring art and beauty to the hospital and its patients, visitors and staff with Elena Catalano! Vakratunda is a piece dedicated to Ganesha, the elephant headed god and remover of obstacles. Vakratunda maha kaya Surya koti sama prabha Nirvighnam kuru me Deva Sarva karye su-sarvada Oh Lord Ganesh of the curved trunk, majestic body and with the brilliance of a million suns. Please make all my work free of obstacles always. Lambodar nama stubhyam Satatam modak priya Nirvighnam kuru me Deva Sarva karye su sarvada We bow to Ganesh, the beloved of his devotees. He is the remover of obstacles and impediments and the bestower of all success.
