At the time, David Von Erich was the biggest star in WCCW (World Class Championship Wrestling), a promotion owned by his father Fritz Von Erich. David Von Erich was the breakout star of the Von Erich family and his legendary feuds with the Fabulous Freebirds shot David into the mainstream. Former WCCW Champion was there to see it all. Not only did he witness it, he wrestled the Von Erichs countless times during his WCCW run. In one particular match, Black Bart recalls David Von Erich not cooperating with a branding iron, leading Bart to really whack him over the head for real!
